With Eventdrive, you can attach a calendar file (.ics) to your emails so that your attendees can add your event or their sessions to their calendar. You can also have sessions added automatically to your attendees' calendars as soon as they register.

How to attach an .ics file to an email?
In INVITE > Emails, create or edit an email. In the "Edit email" window, below the subject line, two checkboxes are available:
- "Add complete event to attendees' calendars (ICS file)": one appointment covering your whole event, from its start time to its end time.
- "Add registered sessions to attendees' calendars (ICS file)": a file specific to each attendee, containing only their sessions.
The attendee then opens the attachment to add the appointment to their calendar.
How to automatically add sessions to your attendees' calendars?
Three settings are required, in this order:
- Have the option enabled by your account manager. It is not available in self-service: ask your Customer Success Manager.
- Enable the sessions .ics file in each email concerned. In INVITE > Emails, open the email, then in the "Edit email" window, check "Add registered sessions to attendees' calendars (ICS file)". This setting is made email by email.
- Enable attendee notifications from the agenda. In EVENT INFO > Agenda, check "Notify attendees about their session registration status", then click on "Save".
Sessions are then automatically added to the calendar linked to the attendee's email address.
⚠️ Automatic adding only works with the sessions .ics file,
not with the complete event file.
Why do your attendees receive an error email when they accept the invitation?
When an attendee accepts the invitation in their calendar (Outlook for example), their calendar automatically sends a reply to the address that sent the invitation, to confirm that they accepted.
However, this sending address is a noreply address, with no mailbox behind it. The reply cannot be delivered, so the attendee receives an "address not found" type of message.
This is completely normal: this message does not prevent the session from being added to their calendar. You can reassure your attendees if they report it to you.
