With Eventdrive, you can restrict access to your registration form. This is a common source of confusion: if a link to your form returns a 403 error, here's how to identify why and fix it.
⚠️ Your registration link returns a 403 error?
It's likely that the form's public link (the one found in its settings) is still being used in your email, while access is now restricted, either at the event level or at the form level itself. Follow the 2 steps below to check and fix the situation.
Step 1: check your event's status
Your event's status ("Open, public" or "Open, private") is displayed at the top left of the screen, on every page of your event's administration center.
If your event is Open, private, only people on your attendee list, via a personalized link received by email, can access your form, regardless of the form's own settings. The public link won't work for anyone else.
Step 2: check the form's access settings
Even if your event is public, the form itself may have been restricted, independently of the event's status. Go to INVITE > Registration forms, open your form: you land on the "Registration Form" tab, which displays the public links to copy ("Registration Website" and "Registration Form Standalone").
A quick way to check: if these links have disappeared from this page, the form is restricted.
To check or change the restriction, open the "Settings" tab next to it:
If no box is checked, the form remains accessible to anyone with the link. You can instead check one of the two options to limit access, either to your entire attendee list, or to specific groups only.
How to give access to a restricted form?
If the form is restricted (to the attendee list or to groups), the public link is no longer enough: each person must receive their own personalized link, sent by email from Eventdrive.
To do this, create or edit an email from INVITE > Emails. Insert the registration link (on a button or in the text) using the "Special Links" feature, then send this email to the people concerned: each will receive a link that is unique to them, which will work to access the form.
