With Eventdrive, you can send push notifications to keep your attendees informed.
⚠️ Push notifications require a native app, meaning one available on
the Apple and Android stores. To create yours, contact your
Customer Success Manager.
Push notifications step by step
- From the administration center, click "Shortcuts" at the top right, then
"Moderation" to open the moderation platform.
- Click the "Broadcast" service, then "Push notification" at the top right.
- The "Title" field shows your event's name by default, you can customize it. Enter your
text in the "Your message" field.
- Tick "Add message to timeline" to also display the notification in your app's news feed.
- To schedule the sending, tick "Schedule a push notification" and enter the date and time
you want. A notification can only be scheduled at least 5 minutes in advance.
- To send your attendees to a specific service when they open the notification, tick "Target a service" and choose the service from the drop-down menu. For example, for a message such as "Please fill in the satisfaction survey", send them to the survey concerned. If you have created attendee groups, you can also tick "Target a specific group" and choose the group you want to reach.
- Finally, click "Schedule" or "Send push notification", depending on the options you selected.
Summary
- Push notifications are managed from the moderation platform: "Shortcuts" then "Moderation".
- Then go to "Broadcast" and "Push notification".
- Duplicate your message in your event's news feed if needed.
- Redirect to a specific service, or target a group, if needed.
Remarks
- Your push notification is sent on the day and at the time you set.
- If your schedule changes, you can edit the notification up to 5 minutes before it is sent by clicking it, then "Save".
- Your scheduled notifications are listed at the bottom, in chronological order of sending. Those already sent are greyed out and can no longer be edited.
Tips
- Draw up a schedule of all your notifications to keep track of them.
- Keep it under 255 characters, so attendees can read the message in one go. Display also depends on the phone manufacturer.
- Don't overdo it: stick to 8 notifications a day at most, or you risk tiring your attendees.
