With Eventdrive, you can create a tag cloud that your attendees will contribute to with their responses. This tag cloud can be displayed during your event using a wall.
In this article, find out how to create and configure it.
Step 1
From your event management interface, go to the Interactivity menu, then to the App & Livestream sub-menu → Q&A & Tag Cloud.
Step 2
To create a tag cloud, click on Add list. Once the list is created (which corresponds to the service in question), a menu will appear on the right side of your screen.
Click on Configure this service as a Tag Cloud to switch the service from a Q&A to a tag cloud.
Step 3
Edit the Entry field corresponding to the grey text displayed by default in the text box. This text is visible to attendees and tells them where to enter their word(s) in the app or web app.
Example: Enter your word(s) right here.
You can link your tag cloud to your agenda's session(s). Click on Linked session field and select the relevant session(s) from the dropdown menu.
Click Save to apply your preferences.
Here is the display on the app :
Step 4
Several advanced options are available to configure your tag cloud:
Moderation: allows you to control your attendees responses before displaying them to the public.
⚠️ We recommended that you do not activate this option.
Allow attendees to like other attendees' messages: allows attendees to 'like' other attendees messages by adding an emoji below them (not visible in the tag cloud).
Allow attendees to comment on other attendees' messages and questions: allows attendees to comment on other attendees' messages (not visible in the tag cloud).
Allow moderator to edit messages and questions: allows you to edit attendees messages using the moderation interface.
Send a message as anonymous: allows attendees to send a message anonymously.
Notes
- It is not possible to choose the exact shape of the tag cloud. It is generated by an algorithm based on the number of words submitted.
- However, it is possible to customize the color used on your even wall. For more information on this, see the following article: How to set up the Event Wall?
- The more a word is mentioned, the larger it grows.
Advice
- Write the instruction/question for the tag cloud in the Description section. Be sure to specify the number of words expected per attendee.
Example: Define... in one word. In three words, what does... represent? - To ensure the visual consistency of your event, feel free to configure up to 6 hexadecimal colors.
- In the advanced options, never check the moderation option. Indeed, the principle of the tag cloud is that it is live. Moderation would require verifying all the words you will receive in bulk within a short period.
