With Eventdrive, you have the possibility to customize the display of questions, voting & quizzes and the word cloud on the event wall.
Text size and color, margins and inset design. In this article, learn how to set up and customize your event wall.
Before starting, make sure:
- To have opened a " Wall button Shortcuts at the top right of the administration platform.
- To have opened a " Moderation button Shortcuts at the top right of the administration platform.
- Broadcast a test question or a vote on the wall. During your configuration, this will allow you to see the rendering and adjust in real time. A simple refresh of your browser page will allow you to display the new configurations.
Step 1
In the Eventdrive administration platform, go to " LIVE WALLS ", then " Event Wall Settings ".
Step 2
Edit the fields of the " General " block:
- " Font family ": select the font(s) in which you want to display the broadcast content from those offered. Why are there several fonts in a row? Because if the computer serving the content does not have the first font, it will use the second or third.
- “ Container background color ”: you can use a color present in your graphic charter or other. This field is to be filled in only if you do not wish to put a background image.
- “ Container Font Color ”: You can set the color of the streamed content. If you want questions and votes to appear in red, enter the corresponding hexadecimal code. You will see later in this article how to customize the display color of each service.
- Then adjust the different " Padding ", "margin" in French. Paddings are useful for defining how your content will appear on the event wall. Save at the bottom of the page and play with the pixels to find the perfect positioning.
- " Background position ": adjust the position of your background image if you want to use a background image to personalize your wall.
- " Background size ": it is useful if you add an image to personalize your wall. Test the different sizes, save at the bottom of the page and see the result directly on your " Wall " tab.
- " Background ": drag your background image directly into this space to add it.
File format required:
Image .png or .jpg

To validate all your configurations remember to click on " Validate tab Wall of your browser.
Step 3
Edit the " Header " part if you want to add one.
- " Logo ": Drag your logo/header directly into this space to add it.
File format required :
Image .png or .jpg.
- " Height ": remember to adjust the height of your header according to the height of the visual you added.
- " Background color ": add a background color if desired.
- " Logo Position ": Change the position of your logo/visual.
Save at the bottom of the page by clicking on " Validate " and go to the "Wall" tab to see the result. Remember to refresh your " Wall " page to see the result.
Step 4
Edit the " Foot " part if you want to add one.
- " Logo ": drag your visual for the footer directly into this space to add it.
File format required :
Image .png or .jpg.
- " Height ": remember to adjust the height of your foot according to the height of the visual you added.
- " Background color ": add a background color if desired.
- " Logo Position ": Change the position of your logo/visual.
Save at the bottom of the page by clicking on " Validate " and go to the "Wall" tab to see the result. Remember to refresh your " Wall " page to see the result.
Step 5
Edit the " Have your say " section if you wish to configure the display of this service. Here you will specifically choose how attendee questions will appear on the event wall.
- Enable or disable the " Show shadow " / " Show likes " / " Show author " / " Show avatar " options by clicking on the corresponding buttons. The buttons of the activated options appear in orange.
- On the first column are the parameters for the questions. Choose the " Question size ", the " Question color " and add the " Question background color " if desired.
- On the second column it is a question of personalizing the "Likes". Choose the " Font size of 'likes' ", the " Height of 'likes'" and set a " Color of 'likes' ". By default Eventdrive uses the color of your event.
- The next column is dedicated to the author of the question, which is the display name of identified participants who ask questions. Set the " Author Size " and " Color ".
- Finally set the " Avatar height " of the questioner.
- You can also set the author's " Show " and " Show Company " together with their question.
Save at the bottom of the page by clicking on " Validate " and go to the "Wall" tab to see the result. Remember to refresh your " Wall " page to see the result.
Step 6
Edit the " Word cloud " part. Here you will be able to define 6 colors in which the words of the cloud will be displayed.
It is necessary to enter hexadecimal color codes. You can use the colors of your graphic charter. If you decide not to fill in the fields dedicated to colors, Eventdrive will use default colors.
Save at the bottom of the page and go to the " Wall " tab to see the result. Remember to distribute a test word cloud and refresh your " Wall " page to see the result.
Step 7
Finalize your event wall setup with the " Vote & Quiz " part.
To make the adjustments, it is useful to broadcast a test vote on the wall of your event.
- " Question Size ": Set the size of the questions.
- " Response size ": define the size of the responses and the height of the result bars.
- " Size of percentages ": define the size of the percentages
- " Height of bars ": define the height of the result bars.
- " Question color ": set the color of questions / answers / percentages and answer background.
- “ Answers color ”: define the color of the answers / percentages and background of the answers.
- " Percentage color ": define the color of the percentages and the background of the answers.
- " Response background color ": set the background color for responses.
- " Podium color ": customize the color of the results display podium.
- " Podium font color ": also customize the font color of your podium.
Save at the bottom of the page using the " Validate " button and go to the " Wall " tab to see the result.
Notes
- You can reset all settings by clicking the red button at the bottom of the " Reset " page.
- If you do not see any change even though you have modified the parameters, validate again at the bottom of the page and refresh the web page on which you opened the event wall.
Tips
- We recommend that you pre-configure the wall before the event and make the final adjustments on site on D-Day.
