As part of sending an e-mail, you want to attach an ics file. The ics file is very convenient since in one click, your participants can add your event to their own calendar. The title, the dates, the slots and the organizer are automatically added to your ics. Discover in this article how it works.
The title of the .ics invitation contains the title of your event that you entered in the "Event Name" field of the "INFO", "MAIN INFO" section. If you wish to modify it, you must imperatively personalize the name of your event.
The start and end times
You can add a specific time slot to your .ics file by setting the start and end times again in the "INFO", "MAIN INFO" section.
The description field, also located in "INFOS", "MAIN INFO", allows you to customize your invitation ics by adding additional information.
The organizer field in the ics matchs with your organization name. In the ics, this data goes to the field Who.
In the example below, the event name is Soirée de fin d'année. The event will take place on December 19th, 2018, from 7pm to 11pm. And the event has been created in the Eventdrive organization.
